Clarks is doubling down on its Cloudsteppers line with a new plan to open standalone concept stores dedicated to the collection in Southeast Asia and the United States this year.
According to the U.K.-based footwear brand, Clarks will open three Cloudsteppers concept stores in 2025, followed by further expansion in 2026 — with 10-plus additional locations planned across Asia and the U.S.
So far, Clarks said it will open the initial three stores in the cities of Shah Alam and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia this month as well as at La Palmera Mall in Corpus Christi, Texas in December.
The footwear company added the Cloudsteppers expansion “reflects strong business momentum for Clarks globally,” following significant retail and digital expansion across the U.S., Asia, Europe and the U.K. this year. This includes new store openings and new marketplace partnerships such as Shein, Target, Walmart and TikTok Shop, Clarks noted.
As for the store’s design, Clarks stated that the shops will be developed as “calm, welcoming spaces” that allow consumers to explore the Cloudsteppers collection of breathable, ultra-light sneakers, sandals and laid-back boots.
This retail plan also comes as Clarks is set to expand its Cloudsteppers line beyond footwear. According to the company, the new stores will introduce casual lifestyle essentials including t-shirts, hoodies, socks, caps and bags – all crafted with soft-touch fabrics and relaxed silhouettes that echo the brand’s comfort aesthetic.

As Cloudsteppers evolves into a head-to-toe lifestyle offering, Clarks noted that the collection will further expand in 2026 to include athleisure favorites such as leggings and windbreaker jackets.
Previously focused on women’s ranges, Cloudsteppers is also expanding with menswear and accessories launching in 2025, followed by men’s footwear in January 2026.
Raymond Chew, general manager of Southeast Asia at Clarks, said in a statement that the market is ripe for the first Cloudsteppers lifestyle location. “With Southeast Asia’s warmer climate and love for comfort-led footwear and apparel, it’s a perfect match,” Chew noted. “This store brings an entirely new look and to the market – it’s modern, relaxed and truly lifestyle.”
Peter Quirke, vice president of retail for Clarks Americas, added that comfort technology is the company’s “obsession.”
“We’ve engineered cushioning and ultra-lightweight innovation for decades – and we’re proud to make that comfort even more accessible through new retail environments and expanded lifestyle ranges,” Quirke said. “Launching Cloudsteppers as a standalone experience is a milestone we’re incredibly excited about, and there’s so much more to come in 2026.”
