3 tips to find the best women’s gumboots

  1. Focus on styles that suit when and where you’ll wear them. For example, an ankle-length gumboot can be great for casual or everyday wear, while a calf-length style is handy for gardening and a knee-high style is ideal for when you want as much coverage as possible against wet weather.
  2. Consider the tread. Rainy weather can make it easier to slip over, whether it’s muddy ground or pavement. So it’s always a good idea to get details on the soles, or at least test them out when you get them.
  3. Check sizing details. Some wellies could be a size up or down from the shoes you usually wear, because of the design. Most brands will note these variations so you can check before you buy a pair. If in doubt, you can always ask (or check the return policy).
